Admissions Open 2026-2027

Built by a village, for the children of that village.

Our history, vision, mission, values and philosophy - the foundation everything at BBFS is built on.

History & Background

Thirteen years of growth in Giheka Village.

Busy Bees Foundation School is a private school located in Giheka Village, Kagugu Cell, Kinyinya Sector, Gasabo District, Kigali City. The school opened its doors in 2013 with only 70 pupils at nursery level. Today, the school comprises two sections: the nursery section with 3 levels and the primary section with 6 classes. The sixth Primary 6 promotion has sat for the 2023 Primary Leaving Examination, and the total number of pupils now stands at 334 across both sections.

The school employs highly qualified staff and ensures continuous professional development. We strive to offer quality education in conformity with the current Rwandan educational curriculum (CBC). Our compelling aspiration is excellence in teaching and learning, and we are committed to playing an exceptional role in the national effort to sustain and grow a competitive Knowledge-Based Economy through effective implementation of the Competency-Based Curriculum.

In addition, we focus on nurturing a holistic child - Head, Heart and Hands - who performs well academically, who loves and cares about the people around them, and who uses their hands to work, responsible for their own actions.
