Growth happens everywhere - not only in the classroom.
Clubs, sport, culture and service round out every learner’s week and give confidence a place to grow.

Clubs & Activities
Thirteen ways to belong.
In order to ensure good health for our pupils, we initiated an Anti-Drugs Club at school. It helps upper-level learners (P4–P6) develop healthy attitudes and behaviours by learning and practicing life skills, enhancing academic performance and connecting peers, adults and communities. Members learn about the harmful effects of drug usage - especially tobacco and other toxic products - and how to avoid pregnancy at an early age.
The school promotes health awareness through its Anti-AIDS Club. Members - learners and teachers alike - are educated about modes of infection and effective preventive measures, continually reminded that “prevention is better than cure.” The club empowers learners to make informed decisions and become ambassadors of healthy living within the school and the wider community.
Both pupils and teachers actively participate in the Environment Club, meeting on the last Friday of every month to plan and carry out activities that promote environmental awareness and responsibility:
- Beautifying the school compound (Fresheri ku Ishuri)
- Establishing and maintaining a vegetable garden (Akarima k’igikoni) within the school
- Expanding and preserving green spaces on campus
- Organizing educational visits to surrounding areas
- Promoting cleanliness at school and at home
- Instilling a strong culture of tree planting and environmental conservation
Members discuss the factors that caused conflict, hatred and divisionism among Rwandan citizens in past regimes, then talk about ways to maintain peace and restore friendship, trust and solidarity among today’s Rwandan citizens. The “Ndi Umunyarwanda” concept is well explained and understood.
Our Debate Club gives learners an exciting platform to express their ideas, build confidence and develop strong communication skills in both French and English. Each week a common topic guides all debates, ensuring consistency and depth:
- Tuesday mornings, during assembly - debates conducted in French
- Thursday afternoons, last period - debates conducted in English
This dynamic approach significantly enhances language proficiency, public speaking and critical thinking.
The Cultural Troupe brings pupils and staff together to learn traditional songs, dance and many other ingredients of Rwandan traditional culture: the correct form of the mother tongue, values, taboos, folktales, proverbs, riddles, praise names and more.
The Karate Club offers both young learners and adults an exciting opportunity for physical fitness, discipline and self-development. Through regular training, participants improve their strength, flexibility, coordination and self-confidence. Beyond physical exercise, karate instils respect, self-control, perseverance and focus - a safe, enjoyable environment to relieve stress and build resilience.

Every child has unique gifts waiting to be discovered and nurtured. Each term, learners showcase their diverse talents - music, dance, drama, poetry, innovation and creative presentations - whether through clubs, classroom activities or science-related projects. The Talent Show is a celebration of excellence and creativity, encouraging teamwork, originality and self-expression.
Spiritual growth is an essential part of our holistic education. Every Friday morning the entire school community gathers for devotion, prayer, reflection and praise, uplifted by our Angel’s Choir. Guided by “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6), we nurture strong moral values, faith and character.
- Staff devotion every last Thursday of the month
- A dedication prayer each year for Primary 6 candidates, one week before National Examinations
Sports play a vital role in promoting physical fitness, teamwork and well-being. Our grounds provide a vibrant space where both young learners and adults engage in volleyball, basketball and football.
Learners use asset-based community development to make objects such as houses and cars, or work in groups to mould clay into different forms in our dedicated art studio.
Education tours are important for both pupils and teachers - a tool for reinforcement, engagement, socialization, exposure, curiosity and retention. See recent trips on our News page.
Our annual End-of-Year Celebration is organised in a fabulous way that leaves every participant - pupils, staff, parents and guests - amazed and satisfied: games, songs, drama, plays, rhymes, poems, class statements, parades, art & craft and computer skills shows, dances, marching and speeches.
There’s a place here for your child.
